Sika Extends Product Portfolio for Sweden's Mining Industry

Sika has further expanded additive production for shotcrete at Spånga, near Stockholm in Sweden, and upscaled to the latest-generation technology. The new process makes it possible to deliver tailored solutions in demanding projects for customers. The primary customer of the set accelerator marketed under the Sigunit® brand is the mining industry, for which a high level of early strength development and maximum safety in shotcrete application is key.

Sika Defies Coronavirus Crisis with Growth in Local Currencies of 2.9%

▪ Sales growth of 2.9% in local currencies to CHF 3,614.6 million (–3.2% in CHF)
▪ High negative currency effect of –6.1% (impact of minus CHF 225 million in sales and CHF 29 million in EBIT)

Sika Raises EBIT Target and Gears its Organization Towards Continued Sustainable Growth with Strategy 2023

At the 2019 Sika Capital Markets Day being held in Zurich today, CEO Paul Schuler presents the new Strategy 2023, which builds on the current successful growth model. Sika Acquires Manufacturer of Silicone Sealants and Adhesives in China

Sika has agreed to acquire Crevo-Hengxin, a Chinese manufacturer of silicone sealants and adhesives used in both industry and construction applications. With this takeover, Sika is expanding its Target Markets Industry and Sealing & Bonding presence in China and the Asia Pacific region, and is gaining additional silicone technology plus a production footprint. Crevo- Hengxin generates sales of CHF 50 million, with a workforce of 140 employees.
