Sika liquid applied waterproofing membranes are high-performance systems designed for demanding below-ground and structural applications. Suitable for basements, below-ground structures, bridge decks, tank linings and water retaining structures, these membranes form a seamless, elastic and crack-bridging waterproof barrier. Based on epoxy, polyurethane or polyurea resins, liquid applied membranes are applied to prepared and primed concrete or steel substrates by manual application or spray, making them ideal for complex detailing where sheet membranes may be difficult to install. Once cured, the membrane forms a durable, rubber-like coating that prevents lateral water underflow and helps protect the structure from water ingress and corrosion.

Advantages of Sika's Liquid Applied Membranes

  • Seamless and fully bonded system that eliminates joints and weak points
  • Excellent crack-bridging properties to accommodate structural movement
  • Highly elastic and flexible membranes for long-term performance
  • Prevents lateral water underflow in the event of local damage
  • Suitable for complex detailing and irregular substrates
  • Can be applied by spray or manual methods for efficient installation
  • Durable membranes with abrasion and chemical resistance for demanding environments
  • Suitable for a wide range of waterproofing applications including basements, bridge decks, tank linings and water retaining structures
  • Compatible with other Sika waterproofing solutions for integrated structural protection
