How to anchor objects to a wall?

Sika AnchorFix®-1 is a fast curing anchoring adhesive for anchoring objects into masonry, concrete and brickwork. It provides a strong and secure hold for items like brackets and fixtures on walls.

How to apply:

Drill a hole with an electric drill to the diameter and depth required. Clean the drill hole thoroughly according to the instructions on the Product Data Sheet. Once attached to the applicator gun, pump out the adhesive until the product appears uniform. Do not use this material. Slowly inject the adhesive into the hole starting from the back while slowly drawing back the nozzle. Insert the anchor fixing with a rotary motion into the hole. During the hardening time do not move or load the anchor.

Sika AnchorFix®-2 is an anchoring adhesive for high loads. It is specifically designed to provide a strong hold for heavier items.

How to apply:

How to level a garage floor?

Sikafloor®-200 Level is a cementitious floor levelling compound for smoothing and levelling uneven floor surfaces.

How to apply:

Prepare the compound and prime the floor according to the instructions on the Product Data Sheet. To apply one layer, pour the prepared product onto the substrate and spread it evenly using a smoothing trowel, surface blade or screed rake to the required thickness. Allow the product to smooth over the substrate. Immediately use a spike roller to remove any trowel marks or surface defects.

If applying two layers, allow the first layer to harden and then prime the first layer with Sikafloor®-03 Primer or Sikafloor®-01 Primer diluted 1:1 with water. Apply the second layer. The thickness of the second layer must not exceed the thickness of the first.

Sikafloor®-122 Level Universal is a floor levelling compound that smooths and levels uneven rigid floors before the application of final coverings.

How to apply:

Prepare the compound and prime the floor according to the instructions on the Product Data Sheet. Sikafloor®-122 Level Universal can be applied from a maximum thickness of 6 mm down to a featheredge. Pour the mixed product onto the floor and spread evenly with a steel trowel to form a thin, tight scrape coat. Immediately add further quantities of mixed product to leave a smooth finish (if not, trowel again when the surface is still damp but firm to the touch). If required use a spiked roller to provide a more uniform surface appearance. Additional layers, each not exceeding 6 mm, may be applied to achieve the required depth for your project. Prime with SikaBond® PVA+ diluted 1:3 with water between layers.

SikaScreed® HardTop-60 is a high-strength floor levelling screed that levels the floor and provides a strong, low-maintenance screed that is suitable as a finished surface on its own or a base layer for resin coatings.

How to apply:

Prepare the floor surface and mix the screed according to the instructions on the Product Data Sheet. Apply the product evenly to the required thickness using appropriate spreading equipment. Level the surface with a screed bar or straight edge.

How to treat rising damp?

SikaMur® InjectoCream-100 is an injectable damp proof course for treating rising damp in all types of masonry walls. Once injected into the wall it diffuses to form a damp proof course, allowing the wall to dry and blocking future rising damp.

How to apply:

Before using SikaMur® InjectoCream-100 you must drill 12 mm diameter holes at horizontal centres no more than 120 mm apart, refer to the Product Data Sheet for the depth of the hole required for your wall.

Insert the sausage or cartridge of the product into the barrel of a standard application gun and cut or puncture the visible end of the sausage or cartridge. Insert the delivery tube into the full depth of the pre-drilled hole and squeeze the gun trigger and fill each hole fully with the product to within 1 cm of the surface. Plug or fill the drilled holes with an appropriate mortar.

How to seal floor joints?

Sikaflex® PRO-3 Purform® is a polyurethane joint sealant for sealing joints in garage floors. It is has high movement capability and is very durable making it ideal for high traffic areas like garages.

How to apply:

Apply masking tape where neat or exact joint lines are required. Prime the surface as recommended in substrate preparation section of the Product Data Sheet. Cut the top of the foil before or after inserting into the sealant gun. Fit the nozzle onto the sealant gun and cut the nozzle to the required bead size. Extrude the product into the joint ensuring that it comes into full contact with the sides of the joint and avoiding any air entrapment. As soon as possible after application, tool the sealant firmly against the joint sides to ensure adequate adhesion and a smooth finish.

Sikaflex®-415 Universal is a polyurethane sealant and adhesive that provides a reliable seal for garage floor and wall joints. It has good movement capability and durability.

How to apply:

Apply masking tape where neat or exact joint lines are required. Prime the surface as recommended in substrate preparation section of the Product Data Sheet. Open the seal on the top of the cartridge or open the end of the foil pack, fit the nozzle and cut it to the desired bead size. Insert the product into the application gun. Apply the sealant into the joint ensuring that it comes into full contact with the sides of the joint and avoiding any air entrapment. As soon as possible after application, tool the sealant firmly against the joint sides to ensure adequate adhesion and a smooth finish.

How to dustproof a garage floor?

Sika® Dustproofer & Concrete Hardener is a concrete coating for dustproofing new and old concrete floors. It strengthens the surface, making it more resistant to wear and ideal for garage environments.

How to apply:

Apply by brush or spray at a rate of 1 litre per 5 m2 to clean concrete. Apply a second coat after 24 hours and allow this coat to dry for a further 24 hours then hose down the entire area with cold water to remove any surplus product.

How to seal a concrete garage floor?

Sikafloor® ProSeal W is a curing and sealing compound for concrete that protects concrete garage floors by reducing dusting and improving resistance to wear.

How to apply:

Apply the compound in a continuous, even film using a low-pressure spray unit, brush or roller. Wait for the first coat to dry until it is tack-free. To achieve the best visual appearance and performance, apply a second coat.
