How to fix skirting boards and other objects?

Sika® Multi Stick is a high strength grab adhesive with incredible initial grab, high bonding strength and excellent adhesion to all substrates.

How to apply:

Cut the tip of the cartridge, fix the nozzle, cut it to the desired size and apply using a standard C4 sealant gun. For lightweight items apply the adhesive to back of the item in one or two continuous beads and press it immediately into place. For bonding heavy items apply the adhesive all the way around the edge of the item 30-50 mm from the edge and cover the back with beads of adhesive at 300 mm intervals.

Sika® Stixall® is a hybrid adhesive and sealant that can bond virtually all materials to anything. It has excellent initial grab making it perfect for fixing skirting boards and other objects.

How to apply:

Cut the tip of the cartridge, fix the nozzle, cut it to the desired size and apply with a standard sealant gun. For lightweight items apply the adhesive to back of the item in one or two continuous beads and press it immediately into place. Sika® Pinkgrip® is a direct bond gap filling adhesive for fixing skirting boards, panels and other interior objects without the need for nails or screws. It provides excellent initial grab and a strong, durable bond. It has excellent gap-filling properties to accommodate uneven surfaces.

How to apply:

Apply using a standard sealant gun. Cut the tip of the cartridge, cut the nozzle cleanly at an angle of 45 degree and pierce the membrane. Apply a 6 mm bead in a zigzag along the length of the item to be fixed. Press into place and apply an even pressure onto the entire surface. Leave to cure for 24-48 hours.

How to seal and fill cracks prior to decorating?

SikaSeal® One Hour Caulk is a fast drying decorators’ caulk that is perfect for filling cracks and gaps before painting or wallpapering. It dries quickly, allowing you to decorate after just 1 hour, while creating a smooth, professional finish.

How to apply:

How to repair gaps and holes in walls before decorating?

Sika® One Strike Filler® is a ready-mixed lightweight filler for repairing holes and gaps in walls prior to painting or wallpapering. It doesn’t shrink or require sanding, making it ideal for quick DIY repairs.

How to apply:

How to caulk a skirting board?

How to protect my carpet while painting or decorating?

EVERBUILD® ROLL & STROLL® Premium Carpet Protector is a self-adhesive carpet protector that is designed to keep carpets clean and dry during painting and decorating. It protects against the paint spills, mess and dirt that occur during painting, plastering and general building and repair work, while staying firmly in place without wrinkling or moving.

How to apply:

Ensure the carpet is clean, dry and dust free. Place roll on the floor facing the direction it is to be applied and unwind approximately 12 inches (300 mm) of material. Ensure the roll is stuck by smoothing out by either hand or foot. Simply push roll forward using hands or feet ensuring roll goes in a straight line. Smooth out with hands or feet as it unwinds. You can also push the roll along with a soft broom/brush using the brush to smooth out and remove air bubbles as it unwinds.

How to fix coving/crown moulding?

EVERBUILD MAXIMUM TORQUE® is a high grab building adhesive that provides incredible initial grab (double that of most grab adhesives) and high bonding strength making it especially suited for securely bonding coving or crown moulding.

How to apply:

Cut the tip of the cartridge, screw on the pre-cut nozzle and apply using a sealant gun holding the gun at 90 degrees to the surface to be bonded. Apply the adhesive direct to the back of one surface only, in lines spaced at 30-40 mm centres. Immediately place item into position and secure with good, even pressure and with a slight twist action.

Sikaflex®-11 FC Purform® is a versatile adhesive and joint sealant that provides a high-strength, durable bond for fixing coving amd crown moulding to walls and ceilings.

How to apply:

After the necessary substrate preparation according to the Product Data Sheet, insert the cartridge or foil pack into a sealant gun. Apply the adhesive in triangular beads, strips or spots at intervals of a few centimetres each. Press the object firmly into place before skinning of the adhesive occurs.

How to inject damp proof course to stop rising damp?

SikaMur® InjectoCream-100 is an injectable damp proof course for treating rising damp in all types of masonry walls. Once injected into the wall it diffuses to form a damp proof course, allowing the wall to dry and blocking future rising damp.

How to apply:

Before using SikaMur® InjectoCream-100 you must drill 12 mm diameter holes at horizontal centres no more than 120 mm apart, refer to the Product Data Sheet for the depth of the hole required for your wall.

Insert the sausage or cartridge of the product into the barrel of a standard application gun and cut or puncture the visible end of the sausage or cartridge. Insert the delivery tube into the full depth of the pre-drilled hole and squeeze the gun trigger and fill each hole fully with the product to within 1 cm of the surface. Plug or fill the drilled holes with an appropriate mortar.

How to stick carpet down?

Everbuild® STICK2® Carpet Fix Spray is a high-tack spray adhesive for fixing carpets to most common floor surfaces. It provides a strong initial grip while still allowing you to reposition the carpet before the adhesive fully sets, making it ideal for DIY bedroom projects. The spray application is quick and easy to use.

How to apply:

Shake the can well before use. Select the fan width by turning the nozzle to the desired position. Spray adhesive from 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) away onto the surface.

For strong bonding, apply 1-3 coats to both surfaces. Allow solvent to evaporate (30 seconds) and press the surfaces together from the centre outwards.

For temporary repositionable bonding, spray 1 coat on 1 surface and allow it to dry for 2-3 minutes before bonding.

How to fill holes, cracks and gaps in wood?

Everbuild® Multi-Purpose Wood Filler is a ready-to-use wood filler designed for repairing holes, cracks and gaps in wood surfaces such as skirting boards, doors, furniture and window frames.

How to apply:

Stir the product well before use and apply with a spreader or knife. Slightly over fill the hole to allow for sanding. Once dry, sand to a smooth finish and apply required stain.
