Sika has appointed Adrian Widmer, its current Head of Group Controlling and M&A, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of Group Management with effect from March 1, 2014. He will succeed Ronald Trächsel, who is leaving Sika to pursue a new career challenge.
Adrian Widmer, a 45-year-old Swiss, has been the Sika Group's Head of Controlling for seven years. In addition, he has led the important M&A unit for the last four years. Adrian Widmer has demonstrated his leadership skills with excellent achievements and broad expertise throughout the company worldwide. He is married with two children and holds a degree in economics (lic. oec. publ.) from the University of Zurich.
Ronald Trächsel has decided to take up a new career challenge outside the Sika Group. As CFO, he has successfully managed Sika's finances since 2008, and leaves the Group with its acknowledgment of his valuable contributions. Sika would like to wish Ronald Trächsel all the best for the future.
