Fully self-adhesive high-performance membrane for interior and exterior sealing connection joints and ETICS facades with variable sd value. Complex connection details can be refinished with the system adhesive SikaBond®-444 Membrane Fix.

Design Considerations
In order to prevent thermal bridges or condensation formation, an appropriate thermal insulation (mineral wool or similar) must be used in the joint space in addition to suitable joint sealing.
The active variability of the sd value of SikaMembran® Active FSB+ allows a tighter seal indoors in winter than outdoors with the same membrane. Thus, vapour diffusion can be maintained in winter with the proven principle: "inside denser than outside" (sd warm > sd cold).
In summer, the active variability of the sd value enables rapid and uniform drying of the building connection inwards and outwards.
Construction details should always be determined by the responsible engineer and building physicist.

For the processing of SikaMembran® Active FSB+ the general rules of architecture must be applied.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free of all contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, wax, old adhesive residue and poorly bonded paint coatings which could affect adhesion.
