Sika® Water Sealer

High performance water repellant for walls

Sika® Water Sealer is a high performance transparent water repellent specially formulated to prevent water penetration on all mineral substrates such as brick, stone, pebbledash and rendering. Based on the latest technology silicone resins, Sika® Water Sealer does not contain solvents harmful to the user or the environment and is non-flammable. Sika® Water Sealer penetrates deeply into the treated surface to provide effective water repellence for many years; is unaffected by ultra violet light and offers improved water beading compared with traditional solvent based products.

Chemical Base

Active components emulsified polysiloxane (silicone) resin in water.

Shelf Life

18 months from date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened container under the recommended storage conditions. Note:  towards the end of this period the product may separate into white and clear layers - simply shake well before applying to reconstitute. This aesthetic will not affect the performance of the product.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool and dry place  between +5 and +25 °C. Protect from frost. Storage outside these parameters will significantly reduce the products shelf life.

Application steps

APPLICATION

Shake well before use. Do not dilute. Apply using a brush, low pressure garden spray or roller. Apply from the bottom up. Ensure the whole area to be treated is saturated until the surface no longer absorbs.  Apply two coats, applying the second coat whilst the first coat is still damp (typically within 1 hour).  The coverage will vary depending on the porosity of the substrate.  As a general guide, coverage on brick will be approx. 5 m2/L for the first coat and 8 m2/L for the second coat.The drying time will be approx. 1-2 hours; depending on air temperature.

Note: This product goes on milky but will dry clear.
