Installation of Adhered Single Ply Membrane Systems
Sika single ply membranes are attached to the thermal insulation or roof deck by using either an on-sight applied liquid adhesive or with a factory-manufactured adhesive backing on the membranes. There are three main application methods.
Sarnafil Adhered Roofing System
An adhered Sarnafil roof system will typically consist of:
- Structural deck
- Sarnavap self-adhesive vapour control layer
- Bonded SikaTherm insulation with C-250
- Adhered Sarnafil G410-EL or Sarnafil G410-ELF membrane
The type of membrane chosen will generally be determined by the level of aesthetic requirement, with the G410-ELF felt-backed membrane masking more surface irregularities.
Sika-Trocal Adhered Roof System
An adhered Sika-Trocal roof system will typically consist of:
- Structural deck
- S-vap self-adhesive vapour control layer
- Bonded SikaTherm insulation with C-250
- Adhered Sika-Trocal SGK membrane
