Waiting Time / Overcoating
On absorbent substrates | ~60 minutes |
On non-absorbent substrates | ~30 minutes |
Depending on environmental conditions, characteristics of the substrate and amount of primer applied
Consumption
Primer for Sarnaplast®-2235 | ~1 container /12 cartridges |
Primer for Sikagard®-950 | ~70–140 ml/m2 |
Consumption depends on the roughness and absorbency of the substrate. These figures are theoretical and do not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level or wastage etc.
SUBSTRATE QUALITY
The substrate must be solvent resistant, clean, dry, free of grease, bitumen, oil, paint coatings and dust.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Use the appropriate preparation equipment to achieve the required substrate quality. If heavily contaminated or oiled, sheet metal decking must be cleaned with cleaner before applying the primer.
MIXING
1-part ready to use and must not be thinned or mixed with other products. Before use, stir product thoroughly.
APPLICATION
Application must be during dry weather at temperatures > +5 °C.
Apply a uniform, thin coat of Primer-110 to the substrate by brush. Allow primer to dry tack free.
Absorbent substrates may require two coats. Allow sufficient overcoating time for 2- coats.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Clean all tools and application equipment with Sarna Cleaner immediately after use. Hardened material can only be mechanically removed.
