SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
All surfaces to be coated should be thoroughly cleaned by conventional means.
Prior to the application of the Sikalastic® Primer PVC clean with Sarna Cleaner or Sika-Trocal Cleaner L100 and allow surface to dry for a minimum of 15 minutes at 23 °C and 50 % relative humidity. Depending on climate, curing can be faster or slower.
For detailed information regarding substrate quality / preparation and primer chart please refer to Method Statement.
APPLICATION
Shake the can of Sikalastic® Primer PVC prior to application.
Apply a thin but completely covering coat of Sikalastic® Primer PVC with a solvent resistant brush or felt pad. Sikalastic® Primer PVC shall be applied once only. Care must be taken to ensure that this single application gives adequate and uniform coverage.
Allow primer to dry sufficiently (see table waiting time / overcoating) before overcoating.
