Sikatherm® PIR BN RK1

BITUMEN COATED GLASS TISSUE FACED PIR THERMAL INSULATION BOARD

Sikatherm® PIR BN RK1 is an insulation board for flat Roofing. It is faced on both sides with a coated glass tissue bonded to the insulation core with the top surface being coated in bitumen and produces a tough, durable, light weight insulation board.

Usage

Thermal insulation for use underneath specified Sika® roof waterproofing system

Storage Conditions

The polyethylene polythene packaging, which is recyclable, should not be considered adequate for outdoor protection.

Ideally, boards should be stored inside a building. If, however, outside storage cannot be avoided, then the boards should be stacked clear of the ground and covered with an opaque polythene sheet or weatherproof tarpaulin.

Boards that have been allowed to get wet should not be used.

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

The substrate surface must be uniform, smooth and free of any sharp protrusions or burrs, etc. It must be clean, dry and free of grease and dust.
