Sika® Stabilising Solution

A fine polymer emulsion to bind, seal and strengthen unstable surfaces for overcoating with paint, wallpaper or tiles.

Sika® Stabilising Solution is a high performance primer. It is formulated with a microscopically fine polymer emulsion enabling it to penetrate deeply into dusty/chalky and badly weathered surfaces to leave a stable sound base for subsequent decoration with paint/wallpaper/tiling etc.

5 - 10 m2 per litre depending on porosity of surface and method of application.
Application steps

APPLICATION

  • This is a ready to use product. DO NOT DILUTE.
  • Stir or shake well before use.
  • Apply by brush in a liberal even coat.
  • Work from bottom to top to avoid run marks.
  • For extremely porous surfaces, apply a second coat when dry.
  • Drying time 2-4 hours depending on temperature, humidity etc.
