Sika® Rapid Repair Plaster

A high strength patching plaster

Sika® Rapid Repair Plaster is a high-strength plaster in powder form that mixes easily with water to produce a smooth, creamy lump-free paste, making it the ideal choice for most patch repairs up to 38 mm thickness. The product dries hard in approx. 60 minutes to a smooth finish and can be sanded if required. With added PVA powder, it resists shrinkage and cracking and is strong enough to accept nails or screws.

Shelf Life

24 months from date of manufacture in original unopened bag. This will reduce significantly once opened.

Storage Conditions

Store in cool dry conditions between +5 °C and +25 °C. Storage outside these parameters will significantly reduce shelf life.

Mixing Ratio

1 part water to 2.5 parts powder by volume (6 kg powder to 2 kg water by weight).

Layer Thickness

Maximum 38 mm in one layer (1.5 inch).

Ambient Air Temperature

>10 °C.

Pot Life

20 to 30 minutes.
Application steps

APPLICATION

  • Always use a clean mixing vessel and add approximately 2½ parts powder to 1-part clean, cold water by volume (6 kg powder to 2 kg water by weight). Mix immediately to form a smooth paste. The mixed plaster will remain workable for 20-30 minutes.
  • Smooth the Sika® Rapid Repair Plaster over the repair using a trowel.
  • Finish with a wet filling knife. If sanding is required, fill the repair slightly proud of the surrounding surface to allow for sanding back.
  • Sika® Rapid Repair Plaster is normally sandable after approximately 60 minutes and can be painted or papered.  

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools immediately with warm water before the repair filler sets.
