EVERBUILD® B1 Gun Grade Fire Foam

fire rated polyurethane foam.

EVERBUILD® B1 Gun Grade Fire Foam is a quick-setting, fire-rated, one-part polyurethane foam. It expands on application to yield up to 50 times the can contents and meets the extremely stringent requirements of the test criteria DIN 4102 Part 1 for Construction Materials; Class B1 and BS 476 Part 20. Fire rated up to 4 hours in certain joint configurations. For use with an Everbuild® Professional Foam Gun; once cured the foam can be cut, sawn or plastered over after only one hour.

Usage

Filling
  • Gaps around pipe entries through fire rated walls
  • To provide a fire-rated seal around window and door frames
  • Electrical wire chasing prior to plastering, where a fire rating is required.
  • Deep joints prior to applying sealant or plaster

DIN 4102 Part 1 for Construction Materials; Class B1

BS476 Part 20 (1987) where fire ratings up to 4 hours are achievable. Copies of the independent test certificates are available on request. Warrington fire report number 160899 and 151680 (for use with stud partition walls and cables).

Shelf Life

12 months in original containers at stated storage temperatures.

Storage Conditions

Store upright between +20 °C and +25 °C Pressurized container. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures above +50 °C. Do not pierce or burn the can even after use.  Store as flammable liquid.

Note: Elevated temperatures will reduce shelf life dramatically.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Ensure all surfaces are clean, sound and free from dust and loose particles. Moisten surfaces to be sealed with water. This assists the curing process.

 

APPLICATION

ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES.  Shake can well before use (about 20 times). Remove cap and screw gun carefully onto the black adapter of the can. Take care not to over tighten. ALWAYS USE CAN UPSIDE DOWN.

Only partially fill cavities as the foam will expand to fill the remaining space. Any excess foam can be removed whilst still wet with Everbuild Foam Cleaner. Cured foam must be removed mechanically.  The gun can be left attached to the can in between jobs.  When the gun is removed for storage, ALWAYS thoroughly purge with Everbuild Foam Cleaner.  When used for fixing door frames, supports must be used until the foam is fully cured.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Any excess foam can be removed whilst still wet with EVERBUILD® FOAM CLEANER. Cured foam must be removed mechanically. Always remove nozzle from can/gun and clean immediately after use with EVERBUILD® FOAM CLEANER.
