Sika MonoTop®-110 QuickFix is a 1-component fast setting ready-to-use mortar based on cementitious binder and selected aggregates, designed as a fixing mortar characterized by the early strength development

Usage

Sika MonoTop®-110 QuickFix has been specially designed for all those works where a rapid setting mortar is needed, e.g:
  • Fixing posts, railings, brackets, hinges etc
  • Quick repair of broken/ damaged concrete (small areas only)
  • Securing anchors, expansion bolts, pipes etc
  • Installation of door and window frames
  • Fixing of metal supports

This depends on the substrate roughness and thickness of layer applied. As a guide, ~20 kg of powder per cm thick per m2.

Yield

5 kg of powder yields approximately 3.36 litres of mortar.
Application steps

MIXING

Sika MonoTop®-110 QuickFix can be mixed with a low speed hand drill mixer. In small quantity the Product can also be manually mixed.

Pour the recommended water in a suitable mixing container. While stirring slowly, add the powder to the water and mix thoroughly. Add additional water during mixing if necessary to the maximum specified amount and adjust to the required consistency.

Make sure to only mix the amount of product that can be placed within 2–3 minutes.

APPLICATION

Thoroughly pre-wet the prepared substrate. Before the application of the mortar, remove the excess of water with a clean sponge. The surface shall appear a dark matt apprearance without glistening and surface pores and pits shall not contain water.

Apply the Sika MonoTop®-110 QuickFix with a trowel or spatula. It has to be placed fast in the void to fill, exerting a good pressure between the substrate and the element to fix in order to ensure a good adhesion on both substrates. Hold the object to fix in place until the mortar starts setting and is able to withstand the loads.

 

CURING TREATMENT

Protect the fresh mortar immediately from premature drying using an appropriate curing method e.g. curing compound, moist geotextile membrane, polythene sheet, etc.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be mechanically removed.
