Sika® Antisol®-3 E

Water-dispersed paraffin concrete curing agent

Sika® Antisol®-3 E is a ready-to-use, spray-applied, liquid curing agent to prevent water loss from the surface of freshly placed concrete. It forms a thin film barrier on the concrete without affecting the setting action.

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Always refer to packaging.

Consumption is dependent on wind speed, temperature and humidity during application.

Note: Consumption data is theoretical and does not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level, wastage or any other variations. Apply product to a test area to calculate the exact consumption for the specific substrate conditions and proposed application equipment.
Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

The concrete surface must be free from surface water. Evaporation of the surface water can take from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on temperature and water/cement ratio.

EQUIPMENT

  • Low pressure sprayer

  • Motorised knapsack sprayer

Carry out a trial area with the chosen equipment before full application.

MIXING

Stir thoroughly before use to ensure full dispersion of solids.

 

APPLICATION

  1. Spray the Product in a fine mist to completely cover the concrete surface.
  2. Maintain the pressure in the spraying equipment to ensure a consistent spray. Note Regularly clean the spraying equipment during application to prevent the nozzle from blocking.
  3. Protect the Product from rain for 2 to 3 hours after application.

Affected adhesion of additionally applied materials

Note: The cured Product will affect the adhesion of any additional adhesive, screed or coating products.

  1. Before applying additional materials, remove the Product mechanically from the concrete surface.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and application equipment with Sika® Thinner C immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
