Sikaplan Cleaner

SikaRoof® Cleaner 2000 is a solvented cleaner for cleaning Sikaplan® waterproofing membrane seams.

  • Dissolves and emulsifies adhesive resin, mastic and bitumen contamination
  • Quick solvent evaporation
  • Suitable for cleaning metal application tools
  • Not suitable for preparing PVC sheets for solvent welding application.

Usage

  • Cleaner to remove local contamination from Sikaplan® waterproofing membrane seams and preparation of old PVC membranes for hot air welding applications
  • Cleaner to prepare seams of Sikaplan® PVC waterproofing membranes for hot air welding application

Application steps

APPLICATION

Soak a white cotton cloth with the cleaner and remove contamination from seam overlap surfaces. Do not apply cleaner directly onto the membrane surface. For difficult residue removal, a Scotch Brite pad can also be used. Dry thesurface of the membrane overlap with a white cotton cloth. To remove mineral contamination from the membrane surface the SikaRoof® Cleaner 2000 may be diluted with water.
