Consumption
Layer | Product | Consumption |
Primer or scratch coat | Sikafloor®-150 Sikafloor®-151 Sikafloor®-156 Sikafloor®-161 Sikafloor®-144 Sikafloor®-701 | ~0.3–0.5 kg/m² |
Wearing layer | 1 × Sikafloor®-263 SL N or Sikafloor®-264 N filled up to 1:1 with quartz sand (0.1–0.3 mm) by weight depending on temperature | ~1.9 kg /m² per mm thickness |
Seal coat or top coat | 1 × Sikafloor®-316 + 2 % glass beads (90–150 μm) by weight | ~ 0.07–0.1 kg/m² per layer |
Consumption data is theoretical and does not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level, wastage or any other variations. Apply product to a test area to calculate the exact consumption for the specific substrate conditions and proposed application equipment.
APPLICATION
IMPORTANT
Abrading the surface underneath the top coat
Before applying each layer of top coat, abrade the application surface with a 120 grit sandpaper until the surface turns matt. Remove the resulting dust with industrial vacuuming equipment and solvent wiping. After clean-up, the surface must be of uniformly matt with no gloss present, before applying the next coat
IMPORTANT
Protecting the material after application
After application, protect the System from damp, condensation and direct water contact for at least 24 hours.
