Dew Point
Beware of condensation. The substrate and uncured applied product must be at least +3 °C above dew point to reduce the risk of condensation or blooming on the surface of the applied product. Low temperatures and high humidity conditions increase the probability of blooming.

Substrate temperature | Waiting time |
+10 °C | 90 minutes |
+20 °C | 45 minutes |
+30 °C | 40 minutes |
Allow previous coats to become tack-free before applying additional coats.
Note: Times are approximate and will be affected by changing ambient conditions, particularly temperature and relative humidity.

Consumption
0.1–0.2 L/m² per coat
Note: Consumption data is theoretical and does not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level, wastage or any other variations. Apply product to a test area to calculate the exact consumption for the specific substrate conditions and proposed application equipment.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
FRESH CONCRETE
The surface must be free of bleed water and of sufficient strength to withstand finishing operations.
The concrete must be prepared by suitable power or manual floating and tamping techniques.
HARDENED OR OLD CONCRETE
Surfaces must be sound, open textured, clean, free from frost, laitance, surface water, oil, grease, coatings, all loosely adhering particles and other surface contaminants.
- Prepare the substrate using suitable mechanical preparation techniques such as high-pressure water or abrasive blast cleaning equipment.
- Completely remove all dust, dirt, loose and friable material from all surfaces with a brush or vacuum cleaner.
- If in doubt, apply a test area first.
MIXING
- Stir thoroughly for 2 minutes with an electric stirrer at low speed (approx. 300 rpm).
APPLICATION
IMPORTANT
Incompatibility with other substances
Contact with certain substances impairs the Product's performance or that of the other substance.
- Do not use sprayers which have been used to spray silicones or release agents.
- Clean spraying equipment thoroughly before use and remove residues of previous membranes.
- Do not mix differing formulations of Sika® or other curing membranes.
- Remove the Product before applying a coating system.
Risk of yellowing on certain substrates
Note: Some yellowing may be perceptible if the Product is applied to white and non-absorbent substrates in exteriors.
Hot weather working above +25 °C
Note: In hot weather conditions gelling may occur before material has penetrated sufficiently.
- Observe the recommended storage and application temperatures.
Cold weather working below +10 °C
Note: At low temperatures the product may thicken and be difficult to spray.
- Observe the recommended storage and application temperatures.
Effects of exposure over time
Note: The Product increases abrasion resistance compared to uncoated C25 concrete, but will gradually de-grade and be removed by exposure to environmental conditions and traffic.
Preconditions
If applying to fresh concrete, apply immediately after completing finishing techniques.
If applying to concrete topped with a dry-shake hardener, apply immediately after completing power-floating.
- Apply the Product in a continuous, even film using a low-pressure spray unit, brush or roller. Note If applying by spray equipment, check its suitability by applying to a trial area.
- Wait for the first coat to dry tack-free.
- To achieve the highest visual aesthetics and performance, apply a second coat.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
