PowerCure Adhesives for the Transportation Industry
For the transportation industry, Sika is providing product systems. Those are available as 1C, bulk booster solution, and also for the PowerCure system. These products reach the same final performance, regardless of cured by air moisture or SikaBooster®. In use, the combination of such products is beneficial. For example, Sikaflex®-268 + Booster, out of bulk, is most economical for large volume applications. Sikaflex®-268 PowerCure, however, is ideal for line applications where less consumption is required. Pump equipment is often not financially justified.
Sikaflex®-223 PowerCure is an adhesive for the bonding of organic glass and plastic materials. When joining large plastic panels with metal substrates, different thermal expansion factors must be considered. Sikaflex®-223 PowerCure is combining high elasticity with accelerated curing to avoid stress from thermal expansion. It is also useful as an exterior sealant thanks to its excellent weathering characteristics.

Sikaflex®-268 PowerCure is an adhesives system for panel assembly and glass bonding applications in the transportation industry. It performs very high in weathering and cleaner resistance as required by railway manufacturers. It is available as a 1C, booster system in bulk as well as a PowerCure product.
Sikaflex®-271 PowerCure is a high-performance windshield adhesive. In automatic glass installation, it holds the windshield in place thanks to its fast strength and adhesion development. Sikaflex®-271 is available as 1C, booster system in bulk as well as a PowerCure product.
Sikaflex®-558 PowerCure is a silane-terminated polymer (STP) adhesive for panel assembly and windshield installation. STP adhesives are free of isocyanates and require less pre-treatment to a wide range of bonding substrates. Sikaflex®-558 is available as 1C as well as an accelerated PowerCure product.
